The Deal with HIPs
Due to the changes brought in by the government on December 14th 2007, all sellers of residential property must now by law obtain a Home Information Pack when they place their property on the market.

There are many important reasons for ensuring your HIP is prepared by a firm with the property law experience and knowledge of Vizards Tweedie.
1. An incorrectly produced HIP can delay the sales procedure, as from 1st June 2008, the HIP will need to be in place before marketing can even begin!
2. The more complex nature of leasehold property, requires additional information to be included and it is easy to make mistakes if the HIP provider lacks the in-depth legal knowledge!
3. If your property is unregistered, the documents necessary to prove ownership are more detailed and complex and require a much higher level of legal understanding in order to compile both quickly and effectively!
