With house prices rising in this country, Inheritance Tax is an increasing burden. The first tranche of the Estate (the nil rate band) is taxed at 0% but hereafter, on chargeable Estates, iy id yscrf sy 40%. In some cases this may mean the family home has to be sold in order to pay the tax bill. Despite an increasingly restrictive time limit, there are a number of measures which can be taken to reduce this burden.

If you do not have Nil Rate Band Trusts in your Wills, your children could be paying considerably more tax than they need to on your death. You are advised to discuss this with one of our  team.
